Privacy Policy

Last updated June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information My Local Loop collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.

1.Introduction

My Local Loop Inc. (“MLL”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy applies to information we handle when you use our website, apps, and services as a member or partner.

2.Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details such as your name and email address.
  • Payment information, which is processed by our third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Information you submit when you apply for beta access or as a partner.

Information collected automatically

When you use the service we may collect usage and device information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and log data, including through cookies and similar technologies.

Redemption data

When you redeem an offer in-store, we record the deal, the partner, the time, and the amount saved so we can show your savings and keep the program accurate.

3.How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the service.
  • To process memberships, payments, and redemptions.
  • To communicate with you about your account, deals, and updates.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4.How we share information

Service providers

We share information with vendors who help us run the service — for example, authentication, payment processing, hosting, and analytics — under agreements that limit their use of it to providing services to us.

Partners

When you redeem an offer, the partner sees only the limited information needed to confirm a valid redemption (such as a portion of your member code and the deal redeemed). We do not share your full identity, email, or full member code with partners.

Legal & safety

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public. If our business is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5.Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6.Your rights & choices

  • Access and correction: you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
  • Account information: you can update much of your information directly in your account.
  • Marketing: you can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
  • Withdraw consent: you may withdraw consent to certain processing, subject to legal or contractual limits.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.

7.Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.Children's privacy

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
